The truth is, I could never be without love, for it is a part of me,
As much as the very fibers of all I be...
Love is not just for couples, there are hundreds of levels of,
This wonderfully obscure thing we call love.
Where I might not have a mate, I might have a friend or two,
Who would be there to always help me through...
Mostly the love from within is what would keep me going day to day,
As I shared it with the world as it came my way;
I would open my heart, my mind, and my soul,
That those near me could see that love has total control...
No, I do not need reciprocation, for love is deep inside,
I couldn't alter its state, no matter if I tried.
Love has been and is forever and more,
With such splendor and awe in its store...
If you take your love from me,
Love will still ever be,
You cannot stop what you did not really start,
Though you can close it off from your heart...
